What is ROM, POR, CH and GR CH before a name of dogs? The title of R.O.M. is the most honorable, it is assigned to dogs that have performed excellent in the offspring. R.O.M. and Grand Champion titles at the same time have only a few dozen dogs in the 200-year history of fighting.

APBT (Game Dog) Titles

 

 

CH (Champion). Dog get this title by winning 3 contract matches (3 W).

Matches should be registered in a sports magazine, for example, in The Sporting Dog Journal.

 

GR CH (Grand Champion). Dog get this title by winning 5 (5W) and more contract matches without losses. If a dog lost a fight, it is still a champion (CH). All matches are logged.

 

R.O.M. (Register of Merit). Is a title that is given to a dog that has produced champions. To become R.O.M., a male dog must produce at least four CH and a bitch must produce at least three CH. Each dog gets a point for each CH they produce and get an additional point if any of these registered champions go on to become grand champions.

The title of R.O.M. is the most honorable, it is assigned to dogs that have performed excellent in the offspring.

R.O.M. and Grand Champion titles at the same time have only a few dozen dogs in the 200-year history of fighting.

 

P.O.R. (Producer of Record). Is given for producing winners. Dog get a point for every win recorded by the offspring of a sire or dam, with additional points for both CH and GR CH.
